A hidden gem. This lovely friendly small hotel is set in beautiful woodland and excellently situated for Dundee and exploring the surrounding area. The facilities are superb and the owners are great hosts and nothing is too much bother for them. We have also taken our little Westie there in the past and she was really welcomed to this excellent hidden gem.
Stunning pet friendly accommodation. Very welcoming hosts, fabulous accommodation with the bonus of being pet friendly. Stunning rooms and breakfasts to die for. We highly recommend.
Outstanding B&B. We stayed at Balmuirfield House for 2 nights in March. The house is tucked away along a short track off the road and is very secluded. There is no road noise and you could be forgiven for thinking you are miles out in the countryside. The accommodation is first rate, all rooms are very well appointed. We had a very comfortable 4 poster bed and a lovely bathroom with a bath and separate shower. Stuart and Morag were very attentive and couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was fantastic with a range of Fruit, cereals and lovely cooked breakfast. Would heartily recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in Dundee but out of the city centre.
A weekend in Feb to remember. We were fortunate to visit Dundee on a weekend in Feb when the skies were blue. We were doubly fortunate to have found this fantastic B&B. If your idea of a B&B doesn't include luxury accommodation, then think again, this is a place to change your mind. The rooms are large, tastefully decorated and furnished, the breakfast was fresh and tasty - we had the full scottish and didn't need to eat until the evening, and Stuart was friendly and welcoming. Why would you go to a formulaic hotel chain when you could enjoy an establishment of this character?
